Summary
For the 41st Ludum Dare Game Jam we were tasked with coming up with a game with the theme "2 incompatible genres". After cursing the choice of the theme for a bit we came up with a small selection of ideas, from that we opted to combine a fishing game with a physics brawler. We decided on this because we figured it would be a fun idea to slap your friends with a fish you had to fish out of the water yourself.
As such the game featured a fishing mini game in which players pick a fish to fight with by hooking it. After this players are thrown into combat featuring a physics based combat system (aside from movement) and their objective becomes to knock all their opponents out of the arena.
